No, you are not required to go to a repair facility that your insurance company suggests. Contact the Empire Collision if there are any issues.

What if the estimate written by the insurance company is lower than our shop's estimate?
Our service facility will review the insurance company's estimate. Some additional damage may not be determined until you car, truck, or SUV is disassembled. Once we disassemble your car, we will re-write the estimate and submit it to the insurance company for approval.
Will I have to pay additional costs if I use Empire Collision instead of the shop suggested by the insurance company?
Our team will carefully assess the damage to your car. If additional damage is discovered, we will reach out to the insurance company to review the modifications with them, and bill them for the supplement.

Who pays for the tow bill?
The collision center will pay the tow bill, which will be added to the final estimate and submitted to your insurance company for payment.
When do I pay my deductible, if applicable
You will pay your deductible when you pick up your car when the repairs are complete.
What are OEM parts?
OEM parts are the "Original Equipment Manufacturer" part. These are the same parts your vehicle was built with.
What are aftermarket parts?
Aftermarket parts are parts made by a manufacturer, but not the original manufacturer.
Who is responsible for warranty of the repairs?
The collision center will warrant the repairs performed on your vehicle, which is why it's important to go with a respected collision center.
Who pays for the repair of my vehicle?
If you have collision coverage with your insurance, the insurer should pay for the repairs, except for your deductible.
Who guarantees the repairs to my vehicle?
Empire Collision Center is liable for any of the repairs we perform.
Can I select the facility that will repair my vehicle?
Yes, you are able to select the facility that will repair your vehicle.
Do I need to get three estimates?
Getting estimates is never a bad thing. We recommend getting a good estimate through a repair shop with an excellent repair record rather than several from repair shops that give you less than superior repair work.
What about after-market or 'replacement quality' parts?
Some after-market parts are equal to the OEM part. Usually, these types of parts will not void your vehicle's warranty.
Why did another body shop provide an estimate that is different from yours?
There are different factors that can affect pricing. Some of these factors include shop popularity, cost of parts, and the cost of proper equipment and paint materials.
Will the parts be ordered before I drop off my vehicle for repair?
Yes. We try to order your vehicle's parts when we write the estimate and schedule your repair services.
If my vehicle has frame damage is it a total loss?
Frame damage doesn't always mean the vehicle is a total loss. Depending on how severe the damage is, the vehicle could have structural total loss.
Can you match the paint color?
Yes, our body shop specializes in color matching for exterior paint. Our spray booths provide a specialized, clean environment for painting, which results in a factory quality finish.

How long will my repairs take?
Depending on the severity of the repairs, repair times will vary. We do our best to provide a short turnaround time. Keep in mind, the estimate can take anywhere between two to five days to receive depending on the insurance company.
Can I get a ride home when I drop off my car?
Yes, we would be happy to give you a lift. We also provide pick-up and delivery services.
How can I get a rental car?
If you need a rental car, our team can help you make arrangements. Insurance companies will only pay for a rental car if you have that option on your policy, so you will want to call your insurance company to find out if you have this type of coverage.
How will I know when my car is done?
A member of our collision team will contact you when repairs are complete. If you have any questions or would like an update, please call our collision center.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Empire Collision accepts all major credit cards, cash, and checks.
What are betterment charges?
Parts that wear out and need replacement with time are generally subject to betterment charges when they are replaced during repairs. These charges are determined by your insurance company.
